Tips for Living a Better Life

Here’s 5 tips to help you find the light within yourself:

  1. Watch your thoughts: don’t let negative self talk be a feature of your inner dialogue. If you find yourself thinking negatively about any scenario, immediately replace this with a positive.
  2. Don’t fear or avoid life’s challenges; it is only through pushing ourselves that we grow. Do the things that make you uncomfortable. That sense of accomplishment will boost your wellbeing and support a belief in your own abilities and confidence.
  3. Find 3 things everyday that you are grateful for: write that stuff down. At the end of every week read them all back to remind yourself of how bloody amazing your week has been.
  4. Don’t seek validation from external sources – remind yourself of the control and power you have over your thoughts and feelings by actively choosing the positive in every situation. By doing so we compare ourselves less and live life by our own values and morals.
  5. Make a list of your goals; break them down into small steps that can be taken daily. Doing something everyday that works toward our bigger goals increases a sense of purpose and accomplishment.
